The Making of a Leader: How Servant Leadership Applies in HEMS
Within the medical transport community a leadership paradigm shift is occurring as evidenced by employee satisfaction, just culture, and shared governance initiatives. Servant Leadership is often used to define a more decentralized and employee driven leadership model which attempts to support individual and program wide growth. This course, designed for both transport crews and program leadership, will address how our personal values, traits and developmental history, enable or hinder our program’s success. Special attention will be given to practical servant leadership solutions which focus on assessing who will fill future leadership roles, developing new leaders through mentoring efforts, implementation strategies for servant leadership models, and how to deal with real life issues that leaders face on a daily basis.
